Stock market:Sensex rises 153, Nifty closes at 17053; Kotak Mahindra, HCL Tech shares rise

Shares of Sunpharma, NTPC, Axis Bank, Nestle, Bajaj Auto declined

Indian stock markets closed higher on the first day of the week. The Sensex rose 153 points to close at 57,260. The Nifty rose 28 points to close at 17053. In two days, the market cap fell by Rs 12 lakh crore. A new variant of the Corona is currently being sold in the market. Foreign investors pulled out Rs 31,000 crore in November.

Shares of Kotak Mahindra, HCL Tech, TCS rise. Shares of
Kotak Mahindra, HCL Tech, TCS, Titan Company, Bajaj Finance and others rose on the Sensex. Kotak Mahindra rose 2.92 per cent to close at 2020.20. HCL Tech rose 2.25 per cent to close at 1132.70. However, shares of Sunpharma, NTPC, Axis Bank, Nestle, Bajaj Auto and others closed lower. Sun Pharma fell 2.01 percent to close at 750.95. NTPC fell 1.67 per cent to close at 126.50. Shares of Paytm fell 4.17 per cent to close at Rs 1,707 today.

Sensex down 1688 points on
Friday Indian stock markets closed lower on Friday. The Sensex fell 1688 points to close at 57107. While the Nifty fell 510 points to close at 17026. Shares of IndusInd Bank, Tata Steel, Maruti Suzuki, Bajaj Finance, NTPC and others closed lower on the Sensex. IndusInd Bank fell 6.21 per cent to close at 899.50. Tata Steel fell 5.36 per cent to close at 1110.80. However, shares of Dr Reddy’s Labs, including Nestle, rose. Dr Reddy’s Labs rose 3.35 per cent to close at 4746.50. Nestle rose 0.35 percent to close at 19255.00.
